Octane C8H18 Isomers

  1. Isn't the 2,4-dimethylhexane the same as the one on the very bottom left? (Note the longest chain in that isomer has 6 carbons, not 5.) Is it the 3,4-dimethylhexane that you are missing?

  3. 3-isopropylpentane does not exist, it's just a misnamed 3-ethyl-2-methylpentane.
    Instead, you're missing 2,3,3-trimethylpentane.
